WHAT IS A SOCIAL SPORTS LEAGUE?
Imagine you've had a terrible day at the office and your boss yelled at you for something you didn't do and you spilled coffee all over a TPS report. You rush out of the drab building, charging toward Sunnyside Park. Waving traffic while loosening your tie, you're nearly dressed by the time you arrive. You greet your friends with high fives and pounds. Ten minutes later you're at bat with a woman on second base and two outs. Whomp, the ball sails over the second baseman scoring a run and putting your team in front for good. Fast forward 45 minutes and you're at the bar enjoying a $2 Miller Lite, a $5 burger and joke after joke about how your pants fell down rounding first base on your RBI kick. That's Beehive SSC.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
All sports cost the exact same! We have three registration periods for all of our sports: Early Bird, Regular and Late. Early Bird is almost always $60, Regular is $70 and Late is $75. We're all about community so $3 of everyone's registration is made as a donation to Boys and Girls Club of SLC! So far we've given over $20,000!
WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE?
Here's what you can expect to receive after signing up:
- A league shirt that is yours to keep forever and ever.
- Access to reserved fields.
- Access to league equipment.
- Experienced referees to officiate gameplay.
- Access to sponsor bar food and drink specials.
- A well organized 9 week league with prizes for first place teams
- A community of fun and outgoing Salt Lakers.
CAN I JOIN IF I DON'T HAVE A TEAM?
Yes! To us, that means you're a "Free Agent." If you and a buddy wanna join you can sign up as a "Small Group." Either way, we make sure you're placed with a team that you feel comfortable with and more importantly have fun with. Free agents and Small groups are placed on teams roughly one week before the season starts. Email us if you have any more questions!
CAN I BRING A SUB TO THE GAME?
We understand that, despite your best efforts, registered members may not be able to attend every game. That's why we allow teams to bring substitute players for any of our leagues. If your team is low on players one week, you may invite players from another team within your division to join you for the week; nobody likes a forfeit.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
All registrations are final. We do not give refunds unless there are super extenuating circumstances (you've broken both legs, you are pregnant, you're leaving Utah and never returning, you lost your job and want to eat).
However, if the league doesn't happen (say maybe there's a global pandemic), we'll issue you a credit to play in a future league. Credits never expire. If you have any questions, email us.
