As a small team receiving an increasingly bigger number of questions, please double check if the answer to your question is already posted below.

If it's not urgent please post it in our Facebook Community FAQ Group. There are many knowledgeable Beehivers (including admins) who can assist, sometimes faster than we can over email.

If it's urgent or super weird/unique...send us a message here!

We do our best to respond to all questions within 24 hours!

How do I sign up if I do not know anyone?

You can sign up as a Free Agent and we will place you on a team approximately 1 week before the season starts. We will do our best to place you with a team around your same age and skill level.

How do I sign up if I just want to be with my spouse/roommate/a few friends?

You can sign up as a Small Group Member and we will place you all on a team together approximately 1 week before the season starts. We will do our best to place you on a team around your same age and skill level.

My credit/debit card was declined. What is happening?

This is usually because your credit card address does not match the address on your Beehive account, or because we do not accept AmEx. You can change your address on your account under Edit Profile.

When it comes to divisions...what is social vs. super social?

Social is for intermediate / experienced players and tends to be more competitive. Super Social is for beginner / intermediate players and is generally less competitive. Whatever division you're in, everyone makes the playoffs so don't worry about W/L one bit

What is the substitute player policy? Can I play for one night? Can I invite a friend to fill in for a week on my team?

Subs are allowed during the regular season. The same sub can play a maximum of 2 weeks before they must join the roster. Subs are not allowed during playoffs except in cases of illness or injury (my work trip is not one of those) with previous approval by the league coordinator or commissioner. You must email whatsup@beehivesports.com 24 hours before your game to receive approval. All subs need to have signed up for a Beehive account and signed the general waiver in order to play.

I signed up and don't check my email, when will the schedule come out?

The schedules will be published 1-3 days before the start of the season and playoffs. Sometimes we only schedule the first few weeks of the regular season schedule so we can re-division teams based on W/L record to make sure everyone is playing teams around their skill level!

How can I contact my team if I am a free agent?

You can contact your team through your Account Dashboard. Click on the team name under "Role/Team" and then go to "Messages" to Post a new message to your team. This will start a conversation between the whole team and you can exchange contact information that way. Or watch the tutorial on YouTube here.

I'm interested in being a ref, how can I get involved?

We are always looking for enthusiastic, fun-loving, responsible people to help us ref all of our leagues. Honestly, we wouldn't exist without our dedicated referees and coordinators. Here is a brief description of the role. If it sounds like it might be a fit. Email us (what sup@beehivesports.com) for more details and to set up a training session.

How do I get my shirt if I sign up late?

Approximately 1-2 weeks after the season starts we will have a pickup day/time that you can come get your shirt. You can also email us and set-up a time to pick up your shirt.

I got the wrong shirt size, what should I do?

You can exchange your shirt at the designated pickup day/time or email us to set-up a time to exchange the shirt. If you think your shirt size is wrong on your account or you want to change it, you can do this under "Edit Profile" or email us.

The weather looks bad, what's going to happen?

We do our best to send an email no later than 1 hour before games start if we have to cancel, so keep an eye on your email. No email = Game On! For the most up to date information sign up for text message alerts here. The weather can be very unpredictable and sometimes we have to make game time decisions. Always check your email and social media for alerts from us.

How do I change my team's name?

Only the captain can change the team name. Here's a tutorial on how to do just that!
