The storied tradition of Bocce dates back all the way to the Roman Empire where Caligula invented it by rolling flaming boulders at Vestal Virgins (source: Wikipedia). The concept remains the same, teams will try to stick their balls closer to the pallina than the other team.
It’s a simple, elegant game that still maintains its debaucherous roots.
